The Leader reimagined the communist propaganda posters
through the juxtaposition of images found on both official and censored local online news; and those taken by the citizen reporting the same situation. At first glance, the dominating bright images of a blue sky, a lotus or a vast paddy field would catch one off guard for their positive nature. Yet upper closer inspection, it appears that behind each of them lies the violence, despair and injustice of the reality. A piece of dark humour it is, The Leader condemns the regime of corruption, dishonesty and intolerance of alternative voices.
