Biography

Hoang-Anh Nguyen, graduated from NAFA majoring in Fine Arts, is an emerging visual artist who works with photography, video, installation and performance art. Using her own body as a site for shapeshifting and experimentation as well as objects of everyday life, the artist – with criticality and a humour – sets out to examine the conflicting relationship with her homeland’s socio-political climate proliferated by means of mass communication and propaganda.

Hoang-Anh has participated in group exhibitions such as Crossing 3 Cities, Fine Art WORK-IN-PROGRESS, Wake Group Show at The Substation, and was featured in Oblique‘s NAFA Art Publication, while her photography appeared numerously on public display all over the world. Hoang Anh was on Dean’s List as per first semester of her 2021 academic year.
